Loss of formatting
I can copy a song into Chordsmith with chords above line and then successfully convert it to ChordPro format.
However, if I then change the key, the ChordPro formatting is lost and the chords appear above line in the wrong position. Conversion again to ChordPro then does not work.

Re: Loss of formatting
stigW,
I can't reproduce the problem. Do you have the latest version of ChordSmith (version 8.0)? If not, go ahead and download the latest version from the website and then try again. If you do have the latest version, maybe there's something about the song text that is confusing the program. In that case, please send me a file with the song in it (or post it in a reply to this message) and I'll see what I can find.
Thanks.
John

Re: Loss of formatting
Here part of a song which goes wrong. Could be my counts or formatting that do it, maybe.

Re: Loss of formatting
Yes, the curly brackets are reserved for chordpro directives. If you remove those, it works. If you want to keep the numbers where they are, use "/" or "|" instead of the curly brackets. Look in the help doc for "Special Annotations" for more details about how to use them.
Also, see the post "Annotations not working" which, like yours, is in this forum's "Problems" category.

Re: Loss of formatting
Hm.. I thought this worked on earlier versions. Maybe I was changing key before inserting counts.
Anyhow, I ain't changing a millions songs, particularly as I think "|" or "/" is much less readable. (actually we don't have quite a million just yet )
Pity: it was the best bit of the program.
But thanks for your help.
